Class meals are popular again this year

During each Semester every class gets to celebrate a class meal in the Liborius Centre.
The meals are prepared by the brilliant Anne B. in the Liborius Centre commercial kitchen.
Students can invite guardians, siblings not at St. Liborius and grandparents to come along and enjoy the food and company of other families with children in the class.
Thanks for the fine dining, Anne B!

Term three years three-six Expo

We gathered in the Liborius Centre today to celebrate the ‘Expo’ – when students present their findings developed as part of the Walker Learning Approach to education.
This term the students have focused on Science and have applied their understanding to present how Science affects their personal interests.
Wonderful work and always a joy to wander the Expo and listen to the knowledge the students have gained.

Fire Carriers inducted into their leadership role.

Yesterday our fire carriers were inducted into their role with the assistance of Michael Chisolm from the Catholic Education OFffice, Sandhurst.
Michael is a senior Education Officer working with indigenous perspectices.
Each student will now carrry out the important role of being a fire carrier for our commmunity.
To be a FIRE Carrier is to exercise an important leadership role in the school community. FIRE carriers are students and teachers that share a passion for learning about Aboriginal culture and history and are committed to sharing this knowledge and promoting reconciliation within and beyond the school community.

Burning of the palms

We gathered as a School to witness the burning of the palms – a very important part of preparation for the Church season of Lent.
Student petitions were also written and burnt with the palms. The ashes will be used tomorrow in the Ash Wednesday liturgy.
