School Charism

“Never see a need without doing something about it” — Mary MacKillop

St. Liborius is proud of the involvement of the Sisters of St. Joseph and Sisters of Mercy in our Educational story.

Their influence and charism is reflected in our school vision statement and in in the programs we implement for the benefit of our community.

Catholic Schools have their life within the life of the Church. They do not exist except on that basis. The Church has established a system of schooling in which the vision of life understood in terms of Jesus Christ, is promoted and developed.

Religious Education cannot be separated from the general school program as can other aspects of education; however there are distinct doctrinal aspects, which need to be taught throughout any year’s program.

The Charism of the Mercy Order and their founder, Catherine McAuley, can be explored further here.

The Sisters of St. Joseph hav also played a valuable role in the history of St. Liborius. The charism of the Religious order can be viewed here
