Confirmation 2023

Members of the St. Liborius Parish celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation in Masses this weekend.

On Saturday evening Fr. Stephen Bolling celebrated the Mass and confirmed 11 members of the St. Liborius Parish.

On Sunday morning Bishop Shane Mackinlay celebrated the Eucharist with Fr. Stephen and 6 more members of the Parish were confirmed.
A large gathering of Parish members attended to join them as they celebrated this Sacrament.
Congratulations to those who received the Sacrament.

 

Eaglehawk’s Dahlia and Arts festival

St. Liborius joined in the celebrations of the Dahlia and Arts festival with students participating in the street parade and relay races.

This year we promoted the upcoming 2023 St. Liborius production of Frozen. Preparations for this began in November last year and will involve all students participating in the production.

class meals are again very popular

Twice a year each class celebrates a class meal in the Liborius Centre.

Students invite family members to join them in a social gathering with the families of their class mates.
meals are prepared in the commerical kitchen in the Liborius Centre by Anne B and volunteers.
Currently, burgers are on the menu.
Make sure to join us for a meal when you get the opportunity!

Swimming Sports

St. Liborius headed to the Peter Krenz Centre for our annual swimming sports.
Thanks to all who assisted and came along to see the students watch the students race..

Burning of the palms

We gathered as a School to witness the burning of the palms – a very important part of preparation for the Church season of Lent.
Student petitions were also written and burnt with the palms. The ashes will be used tomorrow in the Ash Wednesday liturgy.

 

AFL players visit St. Liborius

5 players from The North Melbourne Football club visited St. Liborius to speak to the students about their experiences playing AFL and to answer insightful questions from the students. The students loved the complimentary scarves, though they may not be needed for quite a while.
Thank you North Melbourne and the AFL for this opportunity.

Welcome back to St. Liborius in 2023

On Tuesday 7th February we celebrated our Opening School Mass in the Liborius Centre.
Leadership roles were also announced for our Year six students.
The evening concluded with a community BBQ and gathering on the oval.
Great to begin the year in such a manner.
